Ordination news in the Benefice…. Welcome to Matthew!

Our new Benefice Curate, Matthew Levinsohn, will be Ordained Deacon in Salisbury Cathedral on Sunday July 2nd at 10.30am. You are most welcome to attend.

 Matthew and his wife Rachel, and their children Abbey, Zac and Anna have  recently moved into the curates house on Thistlebarrow Road. We will be formally welcoming him at St. Lawrence on Sunday August 20th 6.00pm at a special Songs of Praise Evensong.



The August Evensong will be on Sunday 20th August, 6.00pm

This will be a special Songs of Praise Service


We will be focussing on the many ways people use their gifts and talents

in the life of the church and community.  

If you would like to choose a hymn or reading for the service, please speak to

Prayer Bears for Baptism Children



We give a knitted Prayer Bear to every child baptised at St. Lawrence. If you would like to knit one from a simple pattern or know someone else who would enjoy creating one, please contact Heather Balston for details - 01722 411628.



We will be hosting the residents of Matron’s College for a special Evensong Service on Tuesday 1st August at 5.15pm.

You are most welcome to join them in worship. Former resident, Mrs. Audrey Coggan is a resident of Matron’s College, so it will be lovely to welcome her back.
